Commercial Lines Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) role is responsible for servicing and retaining existing business, developing new business and ensuring superior day-to-day client service. As a key member of the team, the AM leads the service effort, communicates directly with producers and clients and will be successful at solving issues and creating solutions that bring value to the clients.

Primary Role:

  • Maintain a high level of client service and satisfaction.
  • Market and place new accounts.
  • Complete renewal process. Review all client renewals with the producer, gather information from the client and complete renewal apps if needed, market renewal or order from the current carrier; prepare renewal proposal, and obtain client’s signature.
  • Maintain accurate policy data in agency management system (AMS).
  • Consistently document activities and correspondence per Agency guidelines.
  • Maintain a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, insurance carriers and other business contacts.
  • Respond to all client inquires.

Job Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum 3-5 years of Commercial Lines Agency experience.
  • Required Illinois Property & Casualty license
  • Experience with AMS is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Personal Lines Account Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To assist Personal Lines Department in the implementation of Company and Agency programs and procedures.
  • Responsible for the service including computer input and update of personal lines accounts and to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to insured’s, account executives, and insurance companies regarding those accounts.
  • Responsible for the reporting and service of open claims and to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to insured’s, sales representatives, and insurance companies regarding those claims.

Support Functions:

  • Assist Personal Lines Department in ensuring that all procedures and insurance regulations are communicated to and adhered to by all employees within department.
  • Understand and successfully use agency automation and follow all agency systems procedures and insurance company regulations.
  • Receive telephone calls and other agency referrals for new business and to gather necessary information and completion of applications.
  • Maintain customer files. Check and attach various transactions to customer files.
  • Review all incoming mail the day the mail is received and process accordingly.
  • Review and order all necessary renewals no later than 60 days prior to expiration date. Prepare proposals for new accounts and renewal business as needed.
  • Receive claim information regarding a loss and report the information to the insurance company the day it was received.
  • Advise the insured what processes are necessary for the settlement of the loss.
  • Follow-up with insurance companies for the timely and accurate settlement of the loss.
  • Respond to customers’ inquiries and questions regarding the status of the loss.
  • Notify management of any potential business practices that may lead to an E&O claim.
  • Attend training programs and meetings sponsored by the agency and/or companies.
  • Attend continuing education classes to insure all hours are completed in order to retain insurance license.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
  • Insurance license preferred. Must obtain license within first 2 months of employment.
  • Experience with AMS 360 highly preferred.
  • Insurance experience preferred, preferably within an independent agency.

Insurance Support Coordinator

Job Description

In search of an Insurance Support Coordinator to fill a full-time position (32+ hours per week), Monday – Friday, in our Sycamore, Illinois office. The ideal candidate will preferably have administrative experience in a busy office environment and have excellent customer service skills and experience with current Microsoft Office programs. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and self-management skills. This position also requires the ability to obtain Illinois insurance license.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general processing of daily reports from insurance carriers.
  • Complete documentation in Agency computer system.
  • Provide customer service for customer walk-ins and telephone support
  • Process incoming and outgoing daily mail.
  • Provide overall office support with duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

For the right candidate, this will be a developmental role with the opportunity for growth and development to obtain an insurance license for advancement in a career in Insurance.
